A little organizing....a little moving around.....
Every so many months, I have to totally re-organize my craft area.... I am officially going to call my space, my "studio" .... Why ?? Cause I like the sound of that better....When I say craft room, I think of hot glue guns, lace, duck stencils and straw hats and plastic flowers.....lol I bought a black bookcase to display my wool and I'm looking for primitive cubbies to display my cotton print fabrics and homespuns.. Thanks for peeking ! Robin
I am in love with your 'studio' and the wool display is amazing. I am just getting into wool, am in the middle of my first penny rug. Happy stitching, Michelle
what a cute studio you have..love all the decorations..I would say mine is a craft room..not enough decorative stuff..but I still call it my studio or my haven..I love being in this room...did you talk to Stephanie about doing more embroidery designs..I have a girlfriend in blog land that would probably digitize your designs as she loves your designs..so if Stephanie doesn't work out...let me know as I love your designs and want more of the..have a wonderful thursday.;)
I'd say you have a "studio" there indeed. I love the black shelf and how it sets off the wool. When I saw the pic, I thought 'that's what color I could paint my shelf'! I'm in the process of converting a room in my house to a "studio". Yours is lovely with so many fun things! Enjoy, Courtney
I like studio too....it is kinda fun to reorganize and you get a chance to see everything you have...good luck. I am taking a small turn away from primitives right now. I think I just need a break from it...but I will enjoy watching your decorations! Dianntha
Love that "to die for" cupboard of wool!!! You studio looks very inspiring.....I see you have 'church cat', I am just finishing it! thanks for sharing. christine
I love your studio...plus "studio" sounds much more professional, which you are !!! Your designs are just darling and I your stacks of wool look so yummy. Do you buy it all "new" or do you recycle from clothing ???
Love your 'studio'!! I read somewhere a long time ago that everyone should call their space a 'studio' - gives a whole new feeling to the place where you work. Personally, I'd love to prowl around yours but I wouldn't be able to keep my hands off of anything!
I agree with everyone else! When you say "craft room" it sort of cheapens what we call ART!!! I'm hooking and dyeing up a storm this weekend!!! Hope you have a great one. Sheri
My "Studio" is just really a big JUNK ROOM right now!! No wonder I never want to go in there, except to just add more to the mounting piles!! THANK YOU so much for the great idea of calling it a STUDIO, as that changes how I will view it in future, and also for the inspiration to do something about it!! I love what you have done and will start doing the same soon!! The chalk board in the frame is so cool! Was that originally a mirror?
Thanks for sharing and inspiring! Also wanted to say a big thanks for listing me as one of your favorite blogs....I have so many people come to my blog from yours!! Blessings~~ Julie
Enjoyed seeing the studio where all those great designs are born. I think studios are a work in progress and do have to be reorganized every so often because out tastes and styles change and we need to weed out the things that no longer work. ~Roberta
WOW, LOVE IT!! I am quite envious of your incredible "studio"!! With 3 kids still at home, I don't have a room yet to claim as my own but after seeing this... I'm about ready to kick one out so I can make me an awesome studio like yours, lol! This is exactly what a work space should be... surrounded by things that you dearly love and inspire you, you have done a fabulous job of making this studio very cozy!
You cracked me up when you were talking about your idea of a craft room. Lol, that is so very true! I had never thought of it that way but you are right.
Love your disigns and the studio..Also I love the stick flowers,, is there a pattern for them.. New to your blog but really like hearing your ideas. Thanks, Maggey
