Got this from an online yard sale...love it !!

Guess, I've been AWOL for awhile..I had a really bad February, was in the hospital for a few days ( sounds bad but it's all good) and just have been climbing out of a downward spiral...Awful time of year...As much as I love winter, this time of year plays havoc on lots of folks....
So...I haven't been creating anything...I was busy helping my son and daughter in law with their new home...it was good for me....
I wanted to show a pic of this wool applique I bought from and online yard sale group on Facebook...isn't is great ??It's in my craft room wall so I can see it all the time... I just hung it with antique tacks ....it was just a panel of stained muslin with the applique on the front, but I sewed it to black wool for a back to hang stiffer...
I hope to have some new designs or at least a freebie or two soon...
Hugs to all my blogging friends !!!
Robin

  1. Wonderful piece. I use double sided rug tape to hand my smaller pieces, but it works best with fabrics, not so great on wool.

  9. Ooooh, lucky you! That's a design by Maggie Bonanomi ~ I made the same one ~ it's in my Etsy shop! It's a favorite of mine. I backed mine with some homespun calico and just tacked it to the side of a hutch.

    Very nice find!

The applique is very pretty! Good for year-round, but definitely a great piece for spring.
