I meant to share this awhile ago...I had gone to a quiltshop and bought my FIRST punch needle pattern ( with 2 designs ) from " Stone & Thread " ...Well...my first one turned out better than the second try...so the first one went to Robby my buddy from Scotland.
So ..first one, the tree and moon was sent to Robby and I have the second one hanging on a little wire tree....
Robin
Just lovely!!
ReplyDeleteI took a class in punch needle once and never finished the project. Wonder where that is? LOL I think you did great for a beginner.
ReplyDeleteBoth look great. I enjoy doing punch needle--except for having to rethread the needle so much. Thanks for all the free patterns on your side bar--how nice of you. Julie
ReplyDeleteI like the nobby look you have in your punched pieces.
ReplyDeleteWhat height did you use? I haven't tried punching on a solid background, yours came out great.
Debbie
I think you did a fantastic job on them both..I have the tools, just need to get going on them..is there any special fabric I should use or backing etc?
ReplyDeleteIs punch needle one of those things that takes time? I did this list of 5 things I want to learn on Facebook yesterday and punch needle was one. Tammy told me she had issues with her first attempt but maybe it's just a learned thing? I really want to try but I hope I don't get frustrated too fast!
ReplyDeleteYours both look nice!
Leslie
Love them..really nice. Something I would love to learn. Great job for a beginner.
ReplyDeleteThey look fantastic to me. What the heck are you "buying" patterns for when you're one of the "greatest" pattern makers out there?! Yours are the perfect patterns for needle punching:)
ReplyDeleteLooks Great to Me! I wish I knew how to do this....it's on my lsit of things I want to learn! Yours are very nice! ♥

ReplyDeleteRobin I love my punchneedle!!! It is alot better than in the photo...as you know. The background is a lot darker than it shows. You did a perfect job!!!! Thanks, Robby xxxxx
